Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
Matthew 28:19
EASTSIDE Baptist Church is committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). We have historically been a church planting and mission sending church. As a member church of the Southern Baptist Convention and the White River Baptist Association, we financially support missions through the Cooperative Program and our annual March to Missions giving. We believe being a missional church is more than financial and prayer support, it also includes going. We encourage our members to participate through scheduled mission trips.
Connect Weekend
Each fall the Arkansas State Baptist Convention holds a mission event called “Connect”.
The purpose of “Connect” is to pack a week long mission trip experience into one
weekend. Students and leaders from all over the State of Arkansas will come into our
communities with the purpose to share the Gospel through serving in mission projects
that are preset for them. We are expecting 200 to 250 students and leaders to
participate. With the recent devastation from the tornados this is a great opportunity for
our students and leaders to participate in getting out serving in our own back yard.
Wow! What an impact we could have for Kingdom growth.
We are excited that Eastside Baptist Church is hosting and housing students and
leaders for this impactful weekend on October 11-13. Students and leaders will spend
Friday and Saturday night at Eastside.
This is a great opportunity to serve. Areas that you can serve:
Team #1 Set Up/Tear Down: We will need to setup fellowship hall on Thursday with
tables and chairs. Set up registration table in foyer of church, t-shirt sales table and
many other things.
Team#2 Hospitality: People needed to serve at Registration table as students leaders
arrive, greeters, help direct churches to buildings they are staying in, etc.
Team # 5 Site Mangers/Coordinators: Lead teams to predetermined mission sites and
direct them on mission projects. Each church will be responsible for travel for students
and leaders.
