Fall 2025 Wednesday Night Groups

Idol Words

Feasts of the Bible

Have you ever hurt someone with your words?  Do you find yourself wanting to tear people down instead of lifting people up with your words?  Do you wish you could control your tongue better?  In this 5 week study, Idol Words, we will look at not only the power of the tongue, but the reason why we say what we say, and how the gospel works at the very core of the real issues.  A study adapted from the book “War of Words” by Paul Tripp led by Scott and Robin Speer.

Learning to Pray the Scripture

Many Christians would confess that their prayer lives are not what they ought to be. Despite our best intentions and convictions, we often find that the discipline of daily prayer leads to routine rather than joy. How can such a privilege be reduced to a mere obligation? We tend to pray the same prayers about the same issues over and over.
“Prayers without variety eventually become words without meaning” - Donald Whitney
The solution to a boring prayer life is an adjustment in method that centers on the text of the Bible. Praying through a passage of Scripture is a simple way to reorient and revive your prayer life. Using the language of the text to pray will elevate your prayers.
Join Pastor Chad and his wife Julie on Wednesday nights during Mid-Week as we learn to pray the Bible and work through 5 foundational passages.
Location: Fellowship Hall Choir Room
A 6-sessions revealing the redemptive plan of Jesus foretold in each of the feasts of Israel. It will open our eyes to the Gospel of Jesus as it is woven through the Old Testament and to see how the New Testament shows the fulfillment of them all. This study will take us deeper in Gods Word and give us a better understanding of how the OT and NT are both linked together by Jesus and God's plan of redemption. Led by David and Tammy Small.

Heaven

When Faith Becomes Sight.
Heaven. Who goes there? Where is it? What will we do there? Questions like these arise when we consider an eternal future beyond this physical life. How can we know the truth about what comes next? In this 7-session video-based study, Jennifer Rothschild explores the subject of Heaven from a biblical perspective. She will separate what's true about Heaven from what's based on legend, media depictions, and hopeful guesses. As you walk through the study, you'll not only gain a deeper understanding of what God has prepared for His children, but also learn how to live with confidence today as you look forward to the glorious unending that awaits. Don't just wonder about Heaven - embrace it with a faith that turns anticipation into excitement and peace.
